Ismail Sangkala (born 21 January 1987) is an Indonesian lecturer (2012-present) and a coordinator of International publications at Office of International Affairs, Muhammadiyah University of Makassar, Indonesia (2013-present). Ismail (nickname) was born in Segeri, Pangkep (Pangkajene & Kepulauan), South Sulawesi Province. His father was a teacher and headmaster at elementary school, from Makassarese descent and his mother is an Islamic teacher at elementary school, from Buginese descent. Ismail started to study English and Education at the Muhammadiyah University of Makassar (we call “Unismuh”) for Bachelor Program, he had continue his study at State University of Makassar (UNM) for Master Degree and received scholarship from Indonesian Government for his study. During his study for Master, he was acquainted with Fitriani binti Usman. He had known Fitriani in PPs UNM as a student of Master Program and the two married on September 2012.

In 2012, he led development English Education Department’s online class and e-learning. And also teach an online class in various subjects until now. He always invites students to join in e-learning class and make them familiar on it. He delivered his theses in CALL (computer as assisted language learning) and used some language learning applications in teaching activities. For publications, he wrote and published journals in several journals. And also, he becomes journal manager and editor for some journals, it makes him very diligent to enhance his prosperity in developing website and online system for journal management. In developing University’s online journal system, he often give presentation and training to the young journal manager at his University.
